Crossposting Parent and Child Posts
In case you noticed that after publishing a child page (or post or any custom post type) to other sites its parent post or page is not kept, please make sure the following in the same order.
- Open a parent page on the main site (if there is a multi-level hierarchy, start with the top one) and make sure that it is crossposted to a sub-site.
- Then open a child page on the main site, select the correct parent page and hit “Update” button.
When it doesn’t work? Of course when a parent page is created on subsites manually (instead of being crossposted with the plugin). In that case the plugin doesn’t recognize any connection between parent pages and your child ones will be “orphans”.
