How to Sync Gravity Forms Between Sites
In this support article, I will guide you on how to sync Gravity Forms between WordPress sites.
We will not talk about the standard Forms > Import/Export tool – it is super easy; instead, our goal is to automatically sync all forms along with the posts where they have been used.
For example, our goal is to sync the “Hello World” post, but it has “My test form” included in it, so we need to automatically create “My test form” on “Site 2”.

These are our requirements:
- If a form with the same title doesn’t exist on “Site 2”, we need to create it.
- Inside the post content (either you’re using a shortcode with the classic editor, or a Gutenberg block with the block editor), we need to replace the form ID with an appropriate one for “Site 2” (because it is impossible to maintain the same form ID upon syncing)
- (optional) We may want to update this specific gravity form on every post update in case it has been changed.
The good news is that the Simple WP Crossposting plugin already has an integration developed specifically for Gravity Forms and allows to achieve all of what I’ve mentioned before using the Gravity Forms REST API.
Here it is:
One more thing, don’t forget to activate Gravity Forms REST API in the target sites’ settings:
